Our take.
Azzam is what happens when someone says "make it longer" and nobody in the room says no. Respect the engineering, fear the fuel bill.
Undisputed length champ

What they say about her.
Built to outrun the paparazzi
Dock talk says the 30-knot top speed exists purely so nobody with a long lens can keep up.
Our take: Gas turbines plus waterjets at this size are about range and flexibility. That said, if you had 180 meters and a turbine, wouldn't you floor it once?

Friend of a friend did catering on board for one evening. Said the walk from the galley to the dining room took longer than her commute.
